It’s been a productive week for me, which is unusual in recent years (decades) (lifetime I suppose). I’ve been working on the script and a very major exposition had to be made in the story and so I found myself writing (in screenplay format, in vim of all things) a set of montages.
I think montages are a bit of a cop-out, when used to explain a thing, or show how an important thing progresses, etc. especially in films - why not make the entire film a montage of montages, then you don't need any actual action or dialogue, just a slideshow and maybe a narrator.
Oh well, fortunately this isn't a film I'm writing. Anyway I also drew more panes (with pencils) and inked them in Inkscape and laid out a page or two more in Affinity Publisher 2.
It’s becoming quite an intriguing story, I can't wait to hear how it middles (I have the start and the end and a bunch of montages explaining what is afoot).
