I have been playing around with a broken Dragon 32. My intention is to add a couple of 3.5 inch drives and reduce the height of the chonky case.
Hashed area is what is being reduced. After cutting the keyboard is way too high for the case and needs altering.
Added tabs for structural integrity and bonded the two halves back together.
Used body filler to make the two halves neater.
Placing the 2 floppy drives in and cutting recesses to house them.
Creating the posterior of the case with Polycarbonate.
More filler and sanding.
A primer coat to see where the imperfections are.
Yet more filling and sanding.
First try with Black Matt paint and test fitting of the floppy drives.
Spacer for between the floppy drives printed. Needs a bit of fettling to fit as the old case is warped a little.
@GedgeHead good old dragon data logo, nice
@oisin Cheers, I think I found an SVG of the Dragon Data sticker on Wikipedia and turned it into an STL.
