Strange Quark@Taskerland One theme that was prominent in the books but almost entirely missing from the Villeneuve films was the backstory for the whole Dune universe, the Butlerian Jihad. I thought this was a missed opportunity, the morality tale that if you delegate everything to AI it fucks up all of civilisation for the next 10,000 years.
