A poll conducted by Israel’s Channel 12 found that half a million new young Jewish Israeli voters are the most right-wing and religiously fanatic in Israel’s history. They’re voting in the upcoming Knesset elections.

@jwillia2 So when people say "don't dislike the people of Israel" (the Jews), they weren't talking about these people." Right? Then who?

I've had family friends who are Jewish. It was not a factor in our friendship. I didn't care anything about their religious beliefs, and I don't care about the religious beliefs of anyone else.

But I have to say I have become educated over the past 2.5 years & my opinions have changed about the Jewish religion.

Religion is not going to be anyone's savior

@dalias @PattyHanson @jwillia2 The article IS about young jewish people, the poll its talks about excluded non jewish Palestinians, because Israel, so comenting about jews is not off topic? Dont know, but I find that antisemitic is thrown around with such ease, that its loosing meaning.It shouldn't.

@dacig @[email protected] @jwillia2 If it's antisemitic to oppose a ppl or religion that is pro-genocide, then I guess I'm anti-whatever. I believe I said in my post that I have never opposed any religion, but became more educated about the Jewish religion over the past 2.5 yrs. Do I believe every person who follows the Jewish faith is pro-genocide? No. But when any group fails to rein in its extremists, I consider it to be complicit. I'm not anti Jew, anti Islam or anti Christian. I'm Antifa. Good grief.

I don't think I will ever forgive Israel

- not their politicians
- not their military
- not their courts
- not their arms dealers
- not their media
- not their manufacturers
- not their merchants
- not their scientists
- not their artists
- not their athletes
- not their diplomats
- not the population that supports a brutal genocide.

Even if my wish for peace and freedom in Palestine is fulfilled,
I believe my capacity to forgive has been permanently damaged
