sighs, one of my neighbor's dog barks at all kinds of non threats (like me and normal people who are NOT in any way on its property) 80-90% of the time when it is out (which is much of the time). It's loud, and sounds fierce and intimidating…AND

since I like to (and need to) spend time outside on MY property, it makes my life less enjoyable and so really does lower my quality of life...

you know, it occurs: this behavior is much like the most bullheaded and ignorant in our species as well.

and yes, I understand their dog is lonely…and that it's mostly a matter of training/education for the dog.

I can be nice to dogs, but I'm not much of a dog person. And I've tried being nice from a distance…it doesn't work very often.

And I do end up snapping at it to shut up sometimes, which also doesn't work.

I'd be friendlier to it if it wasn't a pain in my ass so often. And really, this is generally true of the most bullheaded and ignorant of people as well...
