In the morning, when I stir my oatmeal, first I stir counterclockwise and think of what I want to release. Then I stir clockwise and think of what I want to enhance, appreciate, add more of, or something along those lines.
Even on days where the only positive thing I can think of in that moment is the joy of the flowers on the windowsill in front of me, it still leaves me feeling lighter and more hopeful. Most days, I can think of more than that.

Writing my books.
Seeing my wife in the morning.
Walking my dog.
Eating.
Reading an actual book.
A good documentary or comedy on TV.
