Daring Fireball

@daringfireball regarding a JS toggle, it was possible in Safari with a manually assigned keyboard shortcut (with the Developer menu enabled) but, and I can’t remember which update it was, they moved enable/disable JS to the Preferences window, meaning: no more toggle for me.

I am still cranky about this because I used it *all the time*

@tripleman Same here, I was using that all the time on Mac... This toggle will have a front seat if I manage to build Quiche Browser for Mac someday.
@daringfireball Thanks for this great tip! I completely understand your enthusiasm. I love that I can get rid of the ugly Liquid glass UI by choosing the classic UI. In addition, I love the toggle switch Disable JS. Finally, the UI is much less obstructing the viewport compared to Safari’s UI, especially since iOS26. That’s a big win on smaller screens. (Edited)
