Right, about to lock my focus on a newsletter I need to get written by the end of the day - so let's procrastinate just a little longer with today's #Hackster round-up.
First up: a fantastic, but pricey, physical Conway's Game of Life board - built using a cheap microcontroller connected to a large number of expensive self-illuminating tactile switches.
Then Google's given a glimpse at what the future of Android "sideloading" - what we used to call "installing software" before the walls appeared around the garden - will look like once mandatory developer registration comes in. It's... a bit of a pain, and includes 24-hour wait(!) before you're actually allowed to install the software of your choice on the smartphone (or tablet) you've paid for.
And finally, there's a new Espressif ESP-IDF out - with a new and more compact standard C library, an Installation Manager that makes setup easier and can manage multiple installations side-by-side, and more!
...including a Model Context Protocol server for those who would prefer to have the Plagiarism Machine write their code for them. Ugh.
