20, Self-promotion day. Shame optional. Boost away!

This is the perfect day to shamelessly promote our own hashtag. If you want to know what we are all about, what the Talk-to-me-Day is, where the resources are hidden, and all our other little quirks, check out our site at: https://scribesandmakers.mataroa.blog/

#ScribesAndMakers

Scribes & Makers

A hashtag game on Mastodon about writing and other creative activities

@gahlearner What exactly do you mean by “promote our own hashtag” in this context?
No sarcasm, trolling, bullying, or anything like that. I'm writing a book in which I explore the aspect of, so to speak, a subtle yet unyielding egocentrism in modern society, and I find the navigation on your website confusing.

@dotyk

@saposcat , @willelm and I are hosting this #ScribesAndMakers hashtag game. We post a list of questions for every day of the month on our profiles and the website. It's a bit different from the writing prompts since we want to include all kinds of creative activities, and sometimes just have fun and play around a bit. The website is an addition to this hashtag game and doesn't make much sense without it. It collects contributions from our participants, like the knowledge base, some explanations in the about page, and also the monthly questions.

We also want our mostly indie creators to be seen, therefore we have days where everyone is welcome to promote their work (as opposed to spamming every day). We also try to get visibility and engagements for creators through our Talk to me Day, #TTMD, where one person is featured and answers the questions from the community. @saposcat is the inventor of the game, @willelm and I help.

#ScribesAndMakers seems cool, but it’s like Name of the Rose library except we drown knowledge in forced empathy.
Loyalty entropy:

scheduled “caring” = talk becomes noise, closeness fakes
burning creative energy on repetitive prompts vs our own signals
cozy author bubble where sharp ideas kill the vibe

Creepy: isn’t this hashtag game self-gaslighting?
“Active = growing” while dodging loneliness.
Real rebellion: ask what the system can’t pre-answer sweetly.
You?

@dotyk this post reads as if you're making notes to yourself, but since it's public— I'm sure it's fine to ignore the posts if you're worried that using the #ScribesAndMakers hashtag or responding to participating Scribes and Makers.
@shadowfals I explained at the beginning of the conversation why I was asking these questions, and I’m quite satisfied because the response confirms my points almost entirely, so I’m right. I didn’t get personal or criticize anyone - just comments and questions related to the topic.

@[email protected] your psychoanalyzing everyone who uses the hashtag and calling all the creatives "creepy" was insulting.

I don't expect you to care, so I'm simply blocking.

You can mute hashtags on Mastodon. That way you can still follow people but don't see their hashtag game answers if they annoy you.
