The reporting of this (and the actions of the influencer) is at best naive. At worst, it is rage baiting. I think it is typical of affluent or even just "people of means", who think that peoplewho are in need should be grateful for receiving their junk instead of, y'know, being able to get food or into programs that will help them long term.
Organizations that collect donations and turn it into liquidity to fund more immediate needs is NOT a grift.
