My copies of the new Laundry Files TTRPG arrived, and I love the bindings.
The GMs book cover of bureaucratic grieving is fantastic and very true feeling as a statement.
I need to find some players somewhere, so for now they'll sit on the shelf after being read next to my old edition.

(The laundry files are works by @cstross and I would recommend them far and wide)

@MarfyMazie @cstross ooooh I love those books!

@garrwolfdog @cstross they're so good. Thought a recent attempt to reread I had to skip The Apocalypse Codex as American cult leader cozying up to British PM and noone being able to ensure nothing untoward is happening, or being unwilling and unable to as they're all caught in the spell, is a little too close to reality.

ok, it's AI, surveillance capitalism and purity politics not things that find us tasty with ketchup, but to be honest, the difference is negligible, both are prosperity gospel (of a form) masked too.

I think being eaten by a thing from elsewhere is probably less painful and much faster too ...

Yeah, where we are now has been on the horizon since the 80s. (Been listening to a lot of Front 242 recently and the sampled televangelist bullshit is chilling.)
