Whenever I try to think about playing factorio I get a headache and then the urge is weirdly gone after a weird 5 minute time gap. Dunno why this happens, it's probably for my own good so I shouldn't question it.
@cadey It's all a matter of perspective: I'm over 250h into Space Age and I feel that at least this is better than doomscrolling ...

@cadey

Got you, someone else has to open Factorio and put you in front of it before you can think about "wanting to play" it.

@cadey the last time I played factorio I binges it for so long I was embarrassed by how much time I spent and uninstalled it after
@cadey I tried and it felt like work. I could just write some Terraform or any of a number of other horrible things which would at least pay money
@cadey It's definitely for your own good. The alternative is craving the factory, yearning for the production graph, dreaming of expanding your endless industry to new pristine planets; and that doesn't end well for anyone.

She says, from experience.
@cadey
Last time I played Factorio I stopped playing Factorio at some point, spent some time looking at graph algorithms, found one I liked, used Python scripting to generate a computer that implemented it, then put it back into Factorio. It kind of worked! But I was overobsessing over it for a month or so and I think I'm done with the game for good...
