Not much chance of that in the short term.

In the long term go for the party that does the best at encouraging the transition to EVs. (That will remove the demand, and hence reduce the price of fuel.)

@ocratato yeah, the post was a bit of satire but we should move to EVs and get subsidies to purchase them so costs can be cut. Also removing luxury car tax would help.
