If the Soviet Union had built a model based on farmer, worker, and consumer co-operatives rather than state capitalism it might have had a completely different fate.

@the5thColumnist We completely agree! But the problem with the Soviet Union is that it was a totally distorted form of socialism. Perhaps looking back at the past will prevent us from repeating the same mistakes in the future?
@novafuture You will surely be excited to know that in the Netherlands and EU cooperatives are boosting. In NL we have now 720 energy-cooperatives (see map) and a huge amount of food-cooperatives differentiated in CSA, regenerative and foodforests πŸ˜ƒ They are the backbone of local transition and inspiration to lots of people of all sorts πŸ₯°
