This is garbage. `uv` is the best tool for the job in the Python ecosystem but it being developed and maintained by a startup (with no path to sustainable funding) this was basically inevitable.

People underestimate the bad position open source is in currently and how much of that space is annexed

@tante Python is cooked. Way too many slopcode enthusiasts in that space. Guess I'll find a new scripting language to try to enjoy coding in again. Lua?

@tusharhero Actually since you bring that up, it reminds me that back in college I had a lot of fun with lisp and smalltalk, and I really ought to revisit those for fun again. This should be fun, right? This used to be fun.
