Okay friend!! Time for a fun question!

I have invited you to my home for a fun movie day!!

What three movies are we watching?

These can be some you really want to share with me for sentimental reasons, or just fun movies!

You get no input from me, I just really want to see movies you love!!

@Bwee
- The Mummy (1999) because it's on my rewatch list,
- Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves because it's a lot of fun,
- last year's Superman because I've heard good things but I haven't watched it yet.
@Stephanie I love the first two and would be super excited to watch those with you. Superman too, I haven't seen it either! 🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵
@Bwee Here they are, and why:

DragonHeart - It's a tale that is dear to me, about someone giving all of themselves to save others. Even at the cost of their own life. That kind of deep love that leads to the ultimate sacrifice is just extraordinarily touching.

Ratatouille - It actually is relatively accurate to kitchen life while still being silly and fun; it doesn't shy away from painting a beautiful picture about food while also passing a message ("everybody can cook") and also addressing very severe problems in the industry (sexism) in a way that is very approachable. It fills me with joy when I watch it, every time.

The Boy who Wanted to be a Bear - This movie is not known well at all but it is a transformative coming of age story about a young boy, raised as a bear, who faces many trials to find his true form at the end. While it has deeply sad moments, the tale itself is beautiful and touches my heart deeply.

@Bwee can we just binge #CyberSix?
Cuz that's 5h 25min already…

Sharknado (Nuff said)

Liza, the Fox-Fairy (spreading awareness of a gem)

@Bwee

I would love to share The Gamers movies with you. (They're working on a 4th, but it's not publicly available yet.) Lots of fun nerdy gamer jokes with more and more heart as the series continues.

The Gamers
The Gamers, Dorkness Rising
The Gamers, Hands of Fate

and soon..

The Gamers, Dorkness Falls

@Bwee
Mitchell vs the Machines (happy vibes)
Redline (cool vibes)
Storks (funny vibes)
@Bwee Destroy All Monsters, The Producers (newer version; and you will have to deal with me singing along), and... Hmm... Let's see... Oh! The third is yours because it isn't fair to hog the screen like that and I'm curious about your own faves!
@Bwee But if you insist on me picking all three, then Hot Fuzz. And I will be pointing out trivia to you, because I live in the area it was filmed.
@Bard @Bwee fr?! Lily had me watch that, it's so funny to know that you're in that area! :silvervale_giggles:
@Lian @Bwee Yep! I actually lived in the main city where most of the scenes were filmed; it's where my wife grew up!

@Bwee

Josee, the Tiger and the FishMy favorite romance! Howl's Moving CastleMy favorite Ghibli film! And...Lost City of AtlantisOne of my favorite Disney films! Tho Aladdin is also a veeeeeeery close contender!

@Bwee

Jurassic Park (any of the original trilogy)
Heat
Shooter (the Mark Wahlberg one from like 2008)

---

Jurassic Park is one I've always loved, and though the second one's not as great as the first and third, they're still pretty damn good by today's standards (if a bit cheesy at times).

Heat is an absolute classic. Al Pacino's over-the-top delivery of some lines add a touch of humour to it, and it's a good way to kill three hours (yes, it's THAT long).

And Shooter is one of those films that I watched growing up that stuck with me through high school. (Hell, my first fursona was loosely based off Wahlberg's character, to an extent).

Notable mentions are Hot Fuzz (a good comedy, honestly), Point Break (Classic Keanu Reeves, though I wouldn't put it and Heat in the same movie night because it's another heist film), and Redline (A 2009 anime film that starts about racing and turns into seven different genres by the end).

@Bwee I would have to go with my 3 childhood favorites:

Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron
The Lion King II: Simba's Pride
Balto II: Wolf Quest

@Bwee WALL-E, The LEGO Movie and perhaps Cars or Wreck It Ralph? idk, those are the ones i immediately go to when it comes to movies i enjoy.

@Bwee

Knight and Day
Aliens
Contact

:3

@Bwee Blue Planet, Fantasia, and whatever the most specific documentary we can find is. I want three hours on how the world wars shaped the popcorn industry.
@Bwee Exit Through The Gift Shop, Annihilation, Flow.
