he likes to over engineer things.
like taking a simple function that does a bit of regex and refactoring it into a 800 line bespoke plugin system (that's just wrapping grep).
i don't really care, go nuts buddy. pr approved, maybe add a snarky comment.
the problem is he is starting to insist that everyone else needs to do this as well.
so my passive indifference is kinda coming back to bite me in the arse.
