man

bad time to be a systemd apologist

it's also just a hard time to be a fosshead in general

the problem with the bazaar is you can really see it all rot in front on you

who said "it's like the whole open source community has black mold"
it's not surprising- "free software" has always been a libertarian political project with perhaps a bay area liberal bent, but you can really tell nobody actually even cares about licenses, huh
real hard to be optimistic about software right now
I go to work. I do some bullshit that doesn't matter while my coworkers vibe code some other bullshit that doesn't matter. I come home. I update my computer. I hope Claude hasn't seduced any upstreams into backdooring my system.

@BestGirlGrace I'm seeing this post right after burning way too much time tonight attempting to track down how far back basically every single common javascript runtime and package manager allowed LLM-generated code into their repositories. Quite a few have opened the door (or the floodgates) within the past month.

So yeah I'm pissed too, though perhaps in a different neighborhood

@kgf it's just fucking everywhere, it's exhausting

@BestGirlGrace i'm starting POSS to replace it

@BestGirlGrace Some of them believed we were actually building a utopia, but their idea of utopia is shit
