I have recorded 5.2TB of video on this trip, and only packed 6TB of removable storage with me.

Now at the “how can I stash files on random devices that have internal storage” stage to see if I can get away without transcoding (and applying LUTs / some minor color grading etc… which is risky as the Neo doesn’t have an HDR screen)

@thisisme you are using a Neo as your main machine for the trip ? How are you finding it ?

@canllaith I have the X1 too but ended up just using it as storage 😂

I’ve found it has worked perfectly for:
* migrating some services at home from docker to k8s (just writing yaml + web for argocd)
* JumpDesktop to home for faster machines, but mostly for data access)
* YouTube + similar browsing
* attaching drives to move files around (although one USB3 port doubles the time it takes, but on holiday I don’t care)
* Davinci Resolve to apply a LUT, slow (120fps to 24fps) and export as h.265. This works! Editing playback is fine, exporting is ~1x so not going to do any of the multi hour exports until I get home, and thanks to no audio I’m not using any of my izotope plugins.

@thisisme I need to use intune which makes me tempted to get one as a dedicated work device - my only concern is the 365 suite is a genuine memory hog.
