Why would you even root for Iran? While they’re a victim of US/Israel aggression, the government is still horrible. Remember the deadly protest just before the war begin? Remember few years ago they also beat a woman to death for protesting against mandatory headscarf?
Because the US and Israel already picked their next target, and if they aren’t stopped they will go for it again and again? Because the civilians are there, dying?
It sucks that the Iranian government is a piece of shit. That’s not reason to root for them to be destroyed.
If you think not rooting for Iran is rooting for US/Israel, please leave your phone in your bedroom and go out and touch some grass, preferably non-toxic kind. It’s perfectly fine and possible to call for the stop of aggression without having to root for someone.

It doesn’t really make sense to root for both because you’d be rooting for both sides against each other. One is a puppet of the US/Western neoliberal axis of evil that is run by a right-wing dictatorship that incorporated literal Nazis into its military and government (Ukraine). The other is a strong ally of peoples’ liberation movements in the Middle East (like those fighting against the demonic Israeli Zionist entity in Gaza and Lebanon) and is standing up to the evils of the most destructive powers on this planet—the US and Israel (Iran).
Western media propaganda villainizes Russia, China, Iran, Venezuela, Cuba, Hezbollah, and Hamas but these are the states and groups that are standing strong against US empire, the most powerful and evil force in the world. If you’re wondering why Russia is helping Iran, it’s because they have been allies for a long time against the onslaught of Western hegemony, resource theft, and regime change. If you’re wondering why Ukraine is helping the US & Israel, it’s because they are a puppet of US empire (and want to curry favor with the US).
