It’s unbelievable that a father would do something like this. Yet again, intolerance and hatred toward trans and intersex people. What on earth has happened to our sick society? What’s so terrible about someone being trans? His own child. I’m at a loss for words.

How am I supposed to make sense of this?
I’ve experienced rejection since childhood and never really knew why. But I knew I was different. It took me 50 years to realize that intersexuality is the explanation—and likely also a form of neurodiversity. That also explains my technical knowledge. And yet, I’ve never been able to identify with my body. It’s been this way since I was around 6 years old. The same goes for my learning. My parents kept everything from me. And yet I was never the person they thought I was and raised me to be.
