Did you know that, at least in the US, before the advent of “splinter-free" toilet paper in 1857 (and even after), people commonly used corn cobs? Which is creative and all... but if you find that at all disturbing, don't look up the fact that cobs were shared communally. You don't need that information bouncing around in your head. There are more important things to be disgusted by these days.
@ttscoff I remember my Ohio history teacher telling us about this in 7th grade (1989)… and being horrified by it.
Fast forward to 2009, and I worked for a company that had us piss outside to save on the septic bill…(they don’t exist anymore, thankfully)
