I'm working on a new game which is like SpellingBee but with some extra features. Anyone care give it a try and report any issues? 🤗 https://harvest.meadow.cafe/
Harvest — A Word Garden

@meadow tried it on my Android, it was fun! I like Boggle haha. These are my results. Found a few!
@meadow find 14 words! Didn't encounter any issues.
@srgower @meadow I only found 13. You bested me, sir. hahaha
@jake4480 @srgower awesome! thanks both for trying it out :) I really appreciate it !
@jake4480 @meadow Haha by just 1! I didn't see your word list and didn't save mine. I'll try today and we can compare :P
@meadow I initially tried swiping, but tapping is fine. I like it!
@AbramKedge oh interesting! you mean swiping like "type swiping" (like on a mobile keyboard?). I had not considered it, but that might be a cool addition :P
@meadow that's right - I started thinking about how that would be coded - it made my head hurt so I stopped 😄

@AbramKedge lol 😅 I played with this idea a bit but realized there are two ways to go about it: only consider were the swipe path changes, or do like mobile keyboards do that consider all letters in the path but weighting more the letters at the path change locations. The second would be more correct but it might also be sort of cheating because someone might highlight letters at random and sort of get a correct word haha

It's still a neat idea though. I might implement it just to see how bad it really is :P but not today at least 😅

@meadow oh absolutely - you can't have it giving people free words! I think you'd have to go with looking for "corners" and possibly pauses, to capture that pass across the centre tile. Sounds easy at first, but I imagine it would take a lot of tweaking and testing by multiple users to get it feeling natural. Definitely a WIBNIF, not an essential feature.

*WIBNIF - wouldn't it be nice if...
