As an Oregonian, a biologist, and someone with a deep and unwavering love for the old growth forests of the PNW, I implore you to submit a personalized public comment opposing this short-sighted rule change at the BLM. Loss of what remains of Oregon's old growth forests would be an irreversible tragedy. #Conservation #Forests #Oregon #Biodiversity

I'm not an Oregonian, but I spent two summer seasons trapping small mammals in central Oregon. My boss told me about the northwest forest plan, which explained the massive old Ponderosa pines I would see in some areas, but not others. No surprise that biodiversity and abundance were higher in those designated areas. I will happily support this initiative.

Valley of the Giants is among the old growth forests listed as potential sites for a federal logging expansion. The public went to great lengths to protect some of the oldest trees left in the Coast Range and it is heart-breaking to see it on the list.
@aosmith16 I know, this whole thing makes me sick to my stomach.
