Our dog is losing her hearing, I think. It doesn't seem to be a big deal to her, and I have to admit life is easier when deliveries can come without even waking her up. She can still hear if I yell that dinner's ready, but she no longer comes scrambling when I open a can or dry food hits the dish. I get to surprise her now. It's helped our relationship, if anything.
@ttscoff Once they loose their hearing and sight, their nose become even more important to them to navigate the world. I had to completely change my interactions with Max at this point in his late life. Always brig my hand up to his nose first, as just touching him without warning would scare the shit out of him.
