Berlin’s Zanjeer unleash a Reagan Youth cover aimed at the antideutsch bigotry, with members of Reagan Youth, Oi Polloi, and Holocausts weighing in on the track.

Antideutsch shut up.
Fuck Berlin, Free Palestine. 🇵🇸

@diyconspiracy Thanks for this one. I saw Zanjeer with Haram and Multinational Corporations in Berlin last year. It was the last stop on the Antipode tour. I got very lucky and knew the right punk to ask where the show was. It was an intense and joyful experience.

DIY Conspiracy has become one of my favorite sites for DIY punk and hardcore. Please keep doing what you are doing.

@diyconspiracy Also, my own band has been the target of Anti-Deutsch activists, getting our shows cancelled in Germany.
"Hassan points to how antideutsch circles interpret global conflicts through a rigid Holocaust-shame lens, where historical guilt is transposed into an unconditional alignment with Israel and the West." This is accurate, and a concise way to word it, something I've struggled to do.
@automattack
shows were cancelled? I just heard about your drummer had a broken leg?
@Aguirre it happened about a week before the broken leg. We were in the process of booking shows in Italy to cover the cancelled ones, then he broke his leg.
Rather than announce new Italian shows, we just postponed the tour.

@automattack Catharsis has always been an important band to me, even though I rarely listen to metallic hardcore anymore. It was great seeing you in 2025. Too bad the new shows got canceled,.

I've been to a few shows in Germany and Austria the past couple of years, and I've seen bands that support Palestine, but when they play in those countries, they don't say a single word about it. Kind of weak.

@mittensxvx which show were you at?
We seemed to be welcomed at the free German shows we last year. I had a Palestinian flag on my speaker cabinet, Brian said something from the stage (I forget what).
I agree, totally weak and cowardly when anti-fascist, pro-Palestinian bands don’t say anything about it in Germany.
@automattack I planned to come to more shows, but eventually only came to the one in Budapest.
@mittensxvx ahh that was a good one. Point Of No Return are great!
@automattack @mittensxvx point of no return was the band that made me interested in punk/hardcore. Finally this year I'm gonna see them .
@automattack @mittensxvx catharsis was the first proper diy show that I've seen, in the only squat that existed in Lisbon. I would say this was 2000. This two bands made an enormous change in the way I have lived the past 26 years.
@luisxgregorio @mittensxvx that was probably 2001, maybe early 2002, I quit the band during that tour so didn’t play Lisbon. Glad it was impactful.
@automattack @mittensxvx yeah you are right, it was November 2001. It's really strange because I remember perfectly everything about that show. Hope you can come here one of this days... But the city is very different from 2001
@luisxgregorio @mittensxvx I was there just over a year ago. Got to hang out with some of the New Winds/Lisboa sXe folks. We had a great time.
I would love to play there sometime
@automattack @mittensxvx oh it was you that were here. I knew that you were here, but didn't meet you.
