East Austin staple Hoover's Cooking to close in May; restaurateur retiring after 50+ years

Hoover's Cooking, which specializes in Texas comfort food, including Southern and Tex-Mex cuisines, announced on Thursday that its namesake, Hoover Alexander, is retiring and closing the restaurant.
