@daringfireball I’m not against this. It appears to be a one-time, let’s make sure you’re not being coerced RIGHT NOW protection step. Do it as soon as you get your phone, wait a day, and sideload forevermore.

If Apple’s right to say sideloading is amazingly dangerous (discuss amongst yourselves), this seems like a pretty smart protection.

Are many scammers 24 hours patient? Yes. But it’s all about barriers to entry.
