I'd love to update this SE 2 test device I have to the latest version of iOS 18 to prevent the severe security issues in the old version I'm running. But I can't because my only choice is to upgrade to iOS 26 which defeats the entire purpose of having this test device.

@paul Does the trick to install the 18 beta profile still work? I have it on to avoid accidentally updating to 26 but I can’t recall if it allows you to update to the latest 18 (it should imo)

@anco this doesn’t. Not sure if a manual profile install helps.

@paul @anco there is not a way to do that with a profile. 18.7.2 is the end of the iOS 18 road for those phones that can upgrade to 26 unless Apple reverses this user hostile decision (very unlikely). The only exception is there was about a week where turning on betas would get you to 18.7.3, but that doesn’t work anymore and there is no way to install any later versions of 18 on those devices.
