@halcy yes, I saw a program about sharks where they turned them on their back and rubbed their bellies to calm them.

@Phoibi i went to an aquarium years ago where they had some sharks in a nice tank, and then next to it they had something that was like, fake shark hide that you could touch

edit: i have just learned that what i petted was probably a catshark 😸

Although they are generally known as catsharks, some species can also be called dogfish due to previous naming.
