'Afroman released an entire album in 2023 about the incident, calling it Lemon Pound Cake, while its title song also took aim at the officer who, the lyrics said, "got the munchies because he got high".

'That song has had 3.6 million views on YouTube, while another parody track titled Will You Help Me Repair My Door has had more than nine million.'

Afroman wins legal battle over songs mocking US police

The rapper was sued after releasing an entire album ridiculing the officers who raided his home.

What a genius

..and an especially important win with the current authoritarian regime.

@rationaldoge The funniest thing about all this is that it's all really terrible music. Just really low quality all around. There's no way he gets this famous if they hadn't done this.

What's funnier is that, terrible as they all are, they all have some pretty catchy little bits that anyone at all can sing and not do worse than the original.

"Randy Walters is a son of a bitch ... oooh oooh .... that's why I fucked his wife and got filthy rich."

Is that a fact or an opinion? vOv

I think he wanted to make sure everybody who watched the videos knew what was going on in his house, those songs+videos were to convey a message, not necessarily hold up to an evening listen on headphones.

Side note: YouTube doesn’t miss a beat (no pun intended). Embedded with the Pound Cake song versions are recipes for…lemon pound cake.
