@gwaldby I hate that children in this country need their own papers. Like, in Norway if you have a family visa, your papers are their papers too. It's the same visa for both of you. I think most countries are like that to ensure there are no split-up families.

@gwaldby Being autistic myself, I consider this incident to be extraordinarly dangerous.

For her even to survive this is not guaranteed. Even if she does, she may forever be unable to function in the presence of "authority figures." The potential exists that this could extend well beyond true enemies such as cops to people such as teachers in school.

If this had happened to me at age 7 I would be gone, but the cause would have been the severe limits to what I can eat, combined with the fact that until I was 13 neither I nor my parents knew why almost all foods tasted like shit and were inedible. Presumably she at least doesn't have that one on her plate so to speak, so hoping she has better odds than I would have had

Still, this is infuriating to me to an extreme degree as another autistic person. Hopefully the bully who made this decision will face justice at Nuremburg II.

@gwaldby These kidnappings should be grounds for sending the National Guard to rescue the children. I can’t think of any words strong enough for what should be done to the ICE agents. I hope Canada is provoked to military action over this. Enough is enough. I’m ashamed people in this country voted for this. #USPol

@gwaldby It seems to me they've had at least seven years with a realistic chance to leave the country. They can't seriously have thought they'd be okay, after everything that's happened, that's been reported.

I get it might suck giving up a good job, a good life, etc. But these are extremely serious times, and people need to be extremely serious about them. People need to be ready to make very hard choices, because the stakes are extremely high. Which they've just found out the hard way.
