MIT researchers built PULSE-HF, a deep learning model that reads a simple ECG and predicts whether a patient's heart function will decline within 12 months.

Could help doctors catch worsening cases much earlier. This is the kind of AI application that genuinely saves lives.

@BeginnersInAi yeah! Detecting patterns and flagging things that could go unseen otherwise. Maybe the heuristic is, AI should be bringing questions to humans, not generating answers for humans

@independentpen Had some really interesting conversations with my own doctors about this. For them, they're not concerned about losing their job. It's about incoming medical students not learning the proper skills first to be able to know what they're looking at when the AI brings them this kind of information. Should always be a human in the loop for medicine.
