For 30 years I'd tell people I'm a computer programmer and they'd grunt and that'd be the end of the conversation.

Now I have multiple friends / family who have vibe coded great ideas but are now stuck at the limits of whatever their "AI" did for them, which didn't get them over their finish line, and now they come to me with mocks-ups and want to hand it off for me to finish it because "I do this for a living."

But the challenges are still the same. The work which is next is all the very not sexy stuff you never cared about since 1995... and you still don't want to learn it... you just want me to do it?

"AI" has turned my friends and family into the non-technical "startup founders" with ideas looking for "partners" who do all the tech work.
