Forgot to post about it at the time, this is last Saturday's motorbike ride destination, the Essex duckpond with the best SEO (I didn't do great research in advance, just rode to the first hit). Very pretty pond, an island with some duckhouses, a sign warning drivers of "Slow ducks crossing" but ... no actual ducks.

Took photos, turned around, went home. The antiques and tea shop was closed too, maybe they're only open at duck-friendly times of year
