How to use a telephone: hold it to your ear. (It's not a slice of toast you're about to eat)
How to use a lavalier microphone: clip it to your clothes. (There's no need to hold it; that's the whole point)

@threedaymonk apparently, holding the phone to your ear “nobody does that anymore”.

Also, when taking pictures with the phone and you turn it horizontal, again, "nobody does that anymore”.

At least according to my daughter. Who apparently, knows things and is a full on toast whisperer.

But if only whispering was a thing, instead you need to put the phone on the speaker and talk to it like that.
