What are you hoping for in Season 10?

I need to check previous emails/communication but they’ve basically said similar things every single season, despite not a lot of things really being game changers so I’m not keeping my hopes up. This season was still quite good content wise, but it felt a bit boring balance wise (but I guess that’s because the sandbox is in a good state?).

Random thoughts:

  • Defib is still mandatory for Medium. I’m starting to think maybe an interesting balance would be to remove the half HP + no gadget debuff, but introduce the ability to destroy the hologram of a player being resuscitated. It would still put the gadget on cooldown, I think the danger of it being “wasted” would turn it into more of a strategic choice (where and when to defib) rather than an automation.
  • I’ve started playing cloak + dagger on Light and it’s awful to play, I’m still trying to rewire my brain into playing more like an assassin, but the visual effects + sounds combo of the cloak are too obvious to be viable, I’m sure there could be a way to buff it and in turn reduce the overusage of dash.
  • Sword left click nerf please
  • I’m still yearning for gas based weapons for any class, a blowgun would be really fun, maybe the “poison” could tick until the player is healed (teammates, or regen cd). It would be more of a harass tool
  • I still think the KS-23 should have been a Heavy sniper (just the look of the weapon, no balance change), not a slug shotgun, Heavy was the only class without a sniper.
  • “Dynamism shooter” when the cashboxes, vaults, grand vaults, spawns are fixed, power shift routes are predetermined… we need more actual dynamism and variation in objectives positions.

What I need to keep playing is:

  • 1 new specialization for each class
  • at least 1 new weapon for each class
  • at least 1 new map
  • Finally some QoL features, Jesus Christ (Why am I not part of the group anymore, if I have to reconnect because of server issues or crashes? Why does the screen to report players get interrupted like three times on the end of a round? Why do the intro videos not have any sound if I have the in game music slider at 0%? Why can I not switch scopes on the fly in practice range so I can try them out without having to quit back to main menu? Why are the auto-tracked contracts the daily ones that are the same every day instead of more specialized ones you actually want to be informed about because they are different and give skins as reward? How come the priorization for interacting with things is never what you want it to be? How often do I need to be in the state of not being able to run until they fix that stupid bug? Obviously I could go on and on and on…)
