Next time someone suggests using a slop machine because "it's so convenient", ask them why they believe that their laziness justifies using technology that has a proven track record of harming the planet, our society, and other people.

Let them make their case and explain loud and clear why other people should pay the price for whatever they do instead of them!

We have to stop this abominable cult!

@r_alb I did and the answer usually still just resolve to "it's easy" and "it saved me time".

The consequences are too abstract when it does not affect immediate and directly.

Make it less abstract then. Ask them

"Why do hosts of people in the global south have to look at descriptions of all sorts of violence all day just because you're too lazy to write your emails?"

or

"Is your presentation worth more than the water that could have sustained a living being, but instead just evaporated because you chose to vibe-do what you could have done without an LLM?"

Keep asking, and don't accept lazy answers to important questions.
