So still no home broadband. Had a phone call with #BT who says it's unlikely to be fixed before the estimated deadline of 5pm Friday.

At least we'll get some compensation at £9.97 for each day after 1st 2 days. That should at least pay the #Broadband bill for the month.

Of course, should it go past Friday then that compensation value should rise.

So annoying not being able to work from home, stream TV, play music or even control our lights!! (Really REALLY need to get these on Local Tuya!!) Our security cameras are all offline too. Grrr...

@PeteLittle Wow, this is a major impact to you!

Are you remote enough that you might consider having a second Broadband service? When both are working, that would help with load balancing.

@AncTreat5358 im not even remotely remote :) I'm South London in the leafy suburbs of Wallington in Surrey. Apparently serious broadband outages are rare but this one is major and, according to the chat with support yesterday, resulted in the electrocution (i do hope they mean shocking and not actually a fatal electrocution!!) Of the engineer sent to fix it. So its pretty serious.

I can, and have, been travelling to the office and working on site this week but home working is out.

I have, however considered a 2nd line.. mainly for my own server and Web app development. But ive been relying on slow mobile hot-spot access with my smart phone.. less than ideal XD

@PeteLittle Oh my, that does sound serious!

Glad you can go to office and not be blocked by being unable to work from home.
