I also take a lot of photos with a #SonyNEX7, and even after all these years, it’s still a great camera!

What lens do you use?

@gjmcosta
It’s def a classic & will always have a place on my shelf. Still prefer the physical controls on this cam over the newer when it comes to this body style.

The shot was with the Sony 16mm f2.8 & also have original stock 18-55. Never got around to getting other lenses since I prioritized glass for my pro-use cams. Currently looking at budget glass for the NEX7 since they’ve gotten much better as of recent. Looking for fast primes & zooms that are compact. Any recommends?

@btscooter Do you recommend the 16m?

Mostly I use a ultra cheap prime - Meike 35mm 1.7 - it have some problems (chromatic aberration, everything what a cheap lens have) but, for some reason, I love to use it!

On my #Pixelfed you can find some pictures taken with it:

@gjmcosta For a 2010 & a budget wide prime glass, I'd say absolutely worth it. Does well with flares but if you worry bout vignetting, could be a deal breaker for you. Easy fix in LR or PS though. 😆 KenRockwell has a good basic review on it:

As for CA, yea, full open there's quite a bit. Stop down to f4 and you'll get better results. Here's another review with ex:
