Ordered a more or less random WiFi card for my son's PC, put it into the machine, the Linux system just picks it up and it works.
Remembering how it used to be more than 20 years ago when you had to jump through countless kernel builds to add the right patch module for the chipset and all those manual configuration to eventually get it working after a day.
What a nice experience this has become. And no, I don't want to discuss optimized kernel builds, I prefer good UX nowadays ;)
