Person about to invent a new set of pronouns: Oh? Haven't you heard?

This post brought to you by me catching a "tham" typo before my previous post

Thay/Tham is just a southern nonbinary
and Dey/Dem is a german nonbinary. we dont have proper neutral pronouns so we stole they/them and wrote it with a german accent
😭😭😭😭💀
you would think that with All These pronouns we'd have at least SOMETHING neutral sounding. you would be wrong
notice how Sie and Sie are two identical columns. thats because one means she and one means they. its the same words and the only difference is in the context (example: sie does something (means she) sie do something (means they)) and this Does Not Work in real sentences
@artiacinsomnist.bsky.social congratulations, you’ve made me hate the English language a little less simply because it doesn’t have That feature!
but! not every form of they is the same as she!! some also sound like the formal you! so theres truly no winning!!!! and neos, the only remaining option, are extra confusing in german because of the way this language works
@artiacinsomnist.bsky.social I wish there were a shorter way to properly convey hissing like a feral cat at its first vet visit. Why does it DO that? Not a fan! It’s like how lead and lead rhyme with read and read but lead and read don’t. Neither do read and read, read and lead, or lead and lead. Languages get so confusing aaAAA
the way i instantly read lead and read and lead and read the intended way 😭 all languages have features that make you just.. indescribably angry. in english its homographs for sure and also the way its actually 5 languages pretending to be one i guess in german it was enby folks who got screwed over
@artiacinsomnist.bsky.social sometimes I wish I spoke a language without gender specific pronouns. Not experiencing the social dysphoria of being made constantly aware that nearly everyone who comes into the theatre assumes I’m a woman would be awesome
