Figma stock dropped -8% today as Google introduced “vibe designing” into its Stitch UI tool which lets you describe the UI you want to create.

Figma is now down -80% since its IPO which is just brutal. I never have expected them to be one of the early casualties of AI.

@drewpickard For sure prototyping now but increasingly we're using it for new feature development at a pace that was unimaginable just 3 months ago.

@carnage4life On the upside, you'll be hard pressed to find any designers willing to use AI design tools. Only the people without any design skills are going to be "vibe designing".

So Figma's user base hasn't shifted, only a fickle market.
