I’ve always loved polaroids. One off photos are an intriguing idea. A frozen moment. Unique and irreplaceable.
I bought one of those mini printers that creates prints using polaroid cartridges but you can make unlimited identical prints from digital files.
I thought it would fill me with nostalgia but it doesnt. Instead I feel nothing.
@annewalk I think part of the magic of polariods is the anticipation of watching the photo develop in real time. It takes *just* long enough to build up a little excitement. It's the like the reels spinning on a slot machine.
The "low quality" is also an asset. There's not really going to be a massive difference between a "bad" picture and a "good" picture other than your composition. The photo is what it is, and it's not going to change size or be touched by a computer.
