Just sketched this up and I can't stop giggling. XD

No, that won't be the final face. I just couldn't help myself.

This is actually one of my favourite parts of drawing; the gesture phase. It's hard to get into the right mindset for it, but once you do, you can get some really lovely gestural poses with a lot of movement. Then you go and lose all that movement and rhythm when you go and refine it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ C'est la vie!

Here's the sketch page that the previous drawing is a part of.

I'm very new to drawing intimate moments between two characters, so I feel like I need a lot more practice. I like different things and dislike others about each of these sketches, but they're stepping stones onto the next thing.

I need to work on drawing people kissing in particular. X) Tough stuff! Those of you who do it on the regular, kudos!

Did a bit more work to one of the sketches in the previous toot. It was fun to work on, but I feel like finishing it up loses a bit of the emotion in it. I just couldn't get Nicholas' face right. ಠ_ಠ (Also, drawing tongues that don't look like weird blobs is… hard.)

I'm going to move on from these sketches, I think. I might do some basic thirst trap-style pin-ups next. We'll see!

Hrrrrmmmm ಠ_ಠ

I feel like the pose is still a bit too stiff. But otherwise, what do we think, pin-up-wise?

I've been sketching on and off all day, this is the best I've done so far. X) So sleepy.

I used a 3D model as a base to get the pose down. My brain has been too foggy today to do a good job of it myself. Still, I feel like I need to redraw it on my own without the 3D base, so I can get my own fluidity and rhythm out of it. The anatomy may be less accurate that way, but it'll probably be more fun to look at.
