I hope you don't have nightmares very often, but when you do have them, what are they about?

(Obviously this is a very short list; you probably have nightmares about bespectacled bunnies or ghostly goats or whatever. Sorry that didn't make my list.)

@davidnjoku Mine are usually where no one believes me. I keep defending myself, but no one, even my childhood best friend is on my side. I mean, it doesn’t sound much but it’s scary shit when you feel like you’re the only one against the world. Every time I have this dream, a little bit of my soul dies when I finally wake up
@farah Yes, I can imagine how that would be scary
@davidnjoku Pissing myself in public! 😟

@davidnjoku

My nightmares are usually me, doing horrible things to others🫤

@davidnjoku The teeth one. Though last night I dreamt I was driving around a load of shops from my youth buying up all the cheap Easter eggs the day after Easter. Which might explain why.

@davidnjoku Spiders crawling on me. I'm not even particularly arachnophobic. I used to have dreams about being stuck on a cliff ledge, which is a very obvious and on the nose life metaphor, but I haven't had one of those for a long time.

What's yours?

@GlasWolf I think my nightmares are more atmospheric than specific. Sometimes I wake up with a sense of dread, but not from anything specific in my dream.
@davidnjoku I mostly have nightmares related to past trauma.
@davidnjoku Mostly about a place I used to work 25 years ago.
@danywho Must have been a terrible job
