@dpaldrich when I was at SGI we got a new manager out of the blue. He was difficult, deeply incompetent, and rarely present. We just bypassed him, fortunately having good relations with senior management.

A month later, he disappeared without explanation. Then I saw the story in the SJ Merc that the entire time, he had been under prosecution for theft from his previous employer.

Employment applications only ask if you've been *convicted* of a felony, not if you're being *prosecuted* for one.
