For the programmes out there: A core team member of Node.js is collecting signatures ahead of a core team vote on policy for AI contributions. This is in the wake of a 18k lines PR created by another core team member with Claude. You can add your signature by opening a PR on the linked repository.
I already have a personal policy of not using any tool written in Node.js unless absolutely necessary. I don’t want that behemoth on my system, nor the supply-chain attack surface its package ecosystem brings with it.
If I see a project that looks neat, but is done with Node.js, I immediately look for alternative implementations in other languages. Yeah I’m a snob but so far it’s worked out well.
Exploits comes in mamy forms and shapes. When the computer came, groups of people people resisted it, same when internet came, people resisted it. Your kind will always exist, and you share one common think. You will become obselete faster than sooner.
I bet you have some applications operated by the big corps, you already sold your sole. At least AI can be open source, which meta, alpha, microsoft and similar shit will never, but know one thing, theyve already exploited you and the likes.
