I watched "The Importance of Being Oscar" a one man play written and performed by Micheál MacLiammóir.
Can't remember what prompted me.
Well worth a watch. Although the audio is a bit low.

Made in 2 x 50 min single takes on a fixed lens. Considering how cumbersome TV cameras were, and operated, moved and focused by a single person, I'm impressed by the camerawork.

For better audio, there are also uploads of LP recordings of the play.

MacLiammóir himself is an interesting person. Effectively in an out gay relationship (they were business partners who just happened to live together!) in a very conservative and Catholic Ireland. He was also born in England with no Irish connection, and reinvented himself as Irish including a Cork childhood.
I'm sure, but on a cursory search cannot find evidence, that he held Irish citizenship. One of Ireland's great actors nevertheless.
