benjojowhy why why the does Thunderbird let you sort by email subject, I have never wanted to do this and I always do it if I "miss" trying to open the newest email, and when you have a 100k+ inbox this little maneuver's is gonna cost you 51 years of CPU time

@jamesog I think i've become a very different kind of email user in the past couple of years, So I've started to understand all of the things that seemed overkill in things like Microsoft outlook. A nicer email client would be nice but I will take the best compromise, that being thunderbird for now...

Ewen McNeill@benjojo there’s exactly one time I use “sort by subject”: it makes marking and dealing with spam runs with the same subject, received overnight over many hours with other email interspersed, much easier.
But I’d agree it should be much harder to *accidentally* change the sort order to anything other than chronological.
